Friendship Garden

The mission of the Friendship Garden at Community Charter School is to provide a beautiful, functional garden which can give nourishment to our children in infinite ways. In the garden environment students will have opportunities to explore math and problem solving, history, biology and botany, competence, integrity, and proper etiquette around a bumble bee. Our hope is that the garden will be a bridge to reunite a child with the wonder of nature and encourage an appreciation of beauty while expanding awareness of their surroundings. It can provide a classroom of delight whether through an orb weaver or the taste of a fragrant herb. It is also our goal to have this Garden serve as a means to connect and interact with the immediate neighborhood community.
