Our
mission is to create a school whose classroom is the community:
a partnership of parents, teachers, students, and community resources
who come together sharing a vision of hope for
our school and our city. This vision is focused on a child centered
philosophy that enhances and supports a child’s development in the
context of family and community.
Community Charter School is a
project based K-5 school with an emphasis on the arts located in
Charlotte’s historic Cherry neighborhood. Instead of operating on a one
size approach to learning, we treat all students as individuals.
Students are placed in multi-grade classrooms (K-1, 2-3 or 4-5), where
education is not a competition, but a place to learn. Within this
